After nearly two decades practicing general internal medicine and serving as a residency program director, Dr. Laurel Fick launched Niche Medical to reimagine what primary care should look like- highly personalized, prevention-focused, and grounded in long-term health optimization.
Now located within InFitness Club in Indianapolis, Indiana, her practice blends the best of modern medicine with evidence-based lifestyle and hormone therapies to help patients feel and function their best for decades to come. She is passionate about “Medicine 3.0”- a proactive, data-informed approach to care that prioritizes metabolic health, longevity, and disease prevention over reactive treatment.
Dr. Fick is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and a certified menopause practitioner through The Menopause Society. Her clinical interests include midlife women’s and men’s health, metabolic health, cardiovascular prevention, and the use of lifestyle-based therapies to prevent chronic disease and optimize quality of life.
Prior to founding Niche Medical, Dr. Fick spent over 16 years in medical education leadership and served on multiple national committees, including for the ACGME and the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine. An educator at heart, she is proud to continue to teach medical students and residents the art of excellent patient care at Niche.
Outside of work, Dr. Fick enjoys reading, traveling, playing and coaching volleyball, and attempting to keep up with a busy household of pets and preteens.
